　　1. The coming of age of the postwar baby boom and an entry of women into the male-dominated job market have limited the opportunities of teenagers.

　　2. The emphasis given by both scholars and statesmen to the presumed disappearance of the American frontier helped to obscure the great importance of changes in the conditions and consequences of international trade.
